Today is Shrove Tuesday, also called Pancake Tuesday - cos we get to make pigs of ourselves eating pancakes.
Traditionally pancakes are cooked on Shrove Tuesday to use up eggs and fat before the Lenten fast begins. This site explains Shrove Tuesday and has a little recipe too.

I however, will be in Brussels (work thing). So I probably won't get pancakes. I'm gonna make a truck load of them on thursday when I get back though.
