Soup

It's strange... all the countries I've been to seem to have the same national dish, usually involving cabbage. All these countries also seem to like cabbage soup. I'm sure you're thinking 'how gross!', but hey, it's actually really good. And besides that it's got medicinal qualities which I require at a time of immune defficiency.

So I've decided to provide you with a culinary guide to Eastern Europe. Yes, I'm doing the cabbage soup tour of the East :-)

So far I've had cabbage soup in two places: Vilnius, Lithuania and Prague, Czech Republic. Right now Prague is in the lead!
The soup in Vilnius was very tasty although a bit over salted. It was essentailly a thin broth with floating bits of cabbage. I thought the blob of cream was a nice touch. (7/10)
The soup in Prague was a tomato based soup, much thicker with chunky cabbage and also chunky bits of sausage. It was tasty and quite filling. It too had the blob of cream on top. (9/10)

Next stop Poland!!!
